Grabern Engraving, based in Chelmsford, has been
established since 1977.
At Grabern Engraving we have a small, but experienced
and conscientious team. We

quality chemically etched Copper, Magnesium and moulded Silicon rubber
dies.
These dies are used by the printing industry for Hot
Foiling and Embossing.
Embossing dies can be supplied with flexible or semi
rigid counterforces according to your needs.
Copper dies are also used as Electrodes for Spark
eroding by the Engineering industry.

one half of Metallic Elephant, was a long standing employee of the John
T Marshall group which incorporated the Impress and Marshall badges and
Mackerel and Co die makers. Over the course of 20 years he gained
extensive knowledge of the Hot Foil process.
Many of the traditional skills involved in maintaining hot foil machines
can once again be obtained through Metallic Elephant.
We offer repairs and spares for many of the popular JTM and Impress
machines on the market, such as Dut 21, Series 80,82,98 and Hm4’s to
name but a few.
We also sell new and second user hot foil machines and foil cutters.

Northmeade CNC
At Northmeade we produce high quality Embossing
Dies, Braille Dies, and Hot Foiling Dies for the print finishing
industry.
We supply tooling to a some of the largest manufacturers in the UK and
overseas, using ARTCAM software to create tooling which is then hand
finished to ensure that each piece passes our rigorous quality checks.
We have over fifteen years experience in intaglio engraving using both
hand engraving and CNC technology.
Our Embossing Dies are of the highest possible quality.
All our programmers are time served hand engravers who are able to meet
the most exacting standards.
We manufacture Fluted Foil Dies for the Greetings Card and Packaging
industries. Whether you require one or one hundred, you can be sure that

We also manufacture Braille Embossing Dies for the pharmaceutical
packaging industry. Dot profile can be custom defined to meet your
specific requirements. We offer a programming service for customers that
